Arctic Spectrum

Arctic and Fougere Spectrum, were born on the hands of Mohamed Jaabir of An-Najwa. I had the idea of sharing the Spectrum with fellow artisans. The first collaboration was with Faizal, who created the beautiful AmberChic. This is the second—and the final—interpretation of the Spectrum base.

I see collaborations not only as a way for someone to escape their own signature, but also as an opportunity to test one’s ability to offer a robust material that another artist can take somewhere entirely new.

It probably reflects my own fascination with extensibility and modularity… or maybe it’s just the software-programmer in me thinking in terms of packaging releases. But I digress. I’ll leave you to read the full composition on the An-Najwa website.
